Anime Expeditions Traits Guide

Unbound is the strongest raw carry trait, but it is not the correct answer for every unit. Ramen Guy wants Investor, Burn and Bleed units can gain more from Draconic, Reaper can use Forsaken, and support or control units often prefer Primordial, Bolt, or Optics.

Unbound S+ +350% Damage, -5% SPA, +10% Range 0.1%Pity: 1,500 DPS, Summoner Shadow, 8th Sword, Puppet, Cursed Student, Toy Maker keepKeep on a proven low-placement carry that converts the massive personal damage bonus into the team’s main clear. Farm units and temporary Story units; the roll is too rare to spend on a slot you plan to replace.
Primordial S +35% Damage, -15% SPA, +20% Range 0.2%Pity: 750 DPS, Support, Crowd Control, Summoner Salmon Sorcerer, String Demon, Forbidden Teacher, The Hero, Puppet keepKeep when attack speed and range improve how often a support, control, or follow-up kit affects the lane. Pure economy units; the combat stats do not improve Yen production.
Forsaken S +35% Critical Damage, +35% Critical Chance, +10% Range 0.3%Pity: 500 DPS, Support Reaper, Cursed Student, String Demon keepKeep on a crit-scaling unit or a kit whose follow-up attacks benefit from frequent critical hits. Units with no crit interaction when Primordial or Unbound would improve the whole attack cycle more reliably.
Draconic S +20% Damage, +50% DoT Damage, -10% Unit Cost 0.5%Pity: 300 DPS, DoT Flame Emperor, Hollow, Cursed Student, Crimson keepKeep when Burn, Bleed, or another damage-over-time effect is a large share of the unit’s real output. Pure supports and farm units that do not apply DoT.
Investor A +25% Income 2% Farm Ramen Guy, Stone Alchemist keepKeep on Ramen Guy. Income is the entire reason the unit is in the team, so Investor directly improves the job. Damage, support, or crowd-control units; income does not replace the combat stat they need.
Bolt A -15% SPA 4% DPS, Support, Crowd Control Salmon Sorcerer, String Demon, Ice Queen, Scissor keepKeep when faster attacks mean more Slow, Stagger, Cocoon, freeze, or single-target ramp triggers. A unit whose main value comes from one manual ability with little connection to regular attack speed.
Precision 2 A +20% Critical Chance, +10% Critical Damage 4% DPS Reaper, Scissor keepKeep as a practical crit build while saving for Forsaken. Farm and pure support units.
Optics A +25% Range 3% Support, Crowd Control Forbidden Teacher, The Hero, Salmon Sorcerer, Water Princess keepKeep when the aura, shield, Slow, or Stagger needs to cover more of the path or more allied units. A carry whose current problem is damage rather than coverage.
Limit Breaker B +15% Damage 6% DPS, DoT, Summoner Any early carry situationalHold on a useful early carry until a multi-stat S or A-tier roll becomes affordable. Farm units and endgame carries once you have enough Trait Crystals for a targeted upgrade.
Speed 2 B -10% SPA 7% DPS, Support, Crowd Control Ice Mage, Scissor, early control units situationalHold when faster attacks directly fix an early-wave leak. A temporary Rare unit that will leave the team soon.
Range 2 B +10% Range 7% Support, Crowd Control Forbidden Teacher, The Hero, Ice Mage situationalHold if the unit is missing the lane or allies it is supposed to cover. A farm unit or a carry already covering the full relevant path.
Strength 2 B +10% Damage 7% DPS, DoT, Summoner Any early DPS situationalUse as a low-cost stopping point on a current Story carry. Long-term Mythic or Secret carries once stronger multi-stat traits are within reach.
Precision 1 B +10% Critical Chance, +5% Critical Damage 6% DPS Reaper, early boss DPS situationalHold only when the unit already gains value from critical hits. Units without a crit plan.
Enlightenment C +50% EXP Gain 9% DPS, Support A unit being leveled temporarily rerollUse briefly if account progression is blocked by unit level and the unit is not ready for a final combat trait. Any maxed or endgame unit; the effect stops helping combat once leveling is finished.

Trait Crystal rule

Roll after the unit earns the slot

  1. 1

Use the unit in Story and one repeat mode.

  2. 2

Name the job: carry, farm, support, control, DoT, or summon.

  3. 3

Set a stopping trait before Auto Reroll begins.

  4. 4

Keep enough crystals for the next proven unit instead of emptying the account.

Player questions

Traits FAQ

Use the current game panel before spending rare resources on a value that can change.

What is the best trait for Ramen Guy?

Investor is the best fit because it adds 25% Income and directly improves Ramen Guy’s farm role. A damage trait wastes the reason the unit is in the team.

Which units should use Unbound?

Use Unbound on proven low-placement carries such as Shadow, 8th Sword, Puppet, Cursed Student, or another unit that supplies a large share of the team’s total damage.

What is the difference between Primordial and Forsaken?

Primordial improves damage, attack speed, and range together, so it fits supports, control units, and general carries. Forsaken is a crit package and is stronger when critical hits or follow-up attacks are central to the kit.

When should I spend Trait Crystals?

Spend after the unit has a long-term team job and the current roll is the real blocker. Save crystals on Rare, filler Epic, and temporary Story units.

Can traits be locked while rerolling?

A reroll replaces the current trait. Use the in-game Auto Reroll filters to stop on selected outcomes, and check the live interface before starting a large roll session.
