51 weapon rows across melee, Matchlock, Flintlock, Crossbow, Bow, and Knife lanes
The Mound Weapons Database
Filter by the route condition first: dry burst, rain-safe range, quiet fire, close-range durability, or field pickup. Compare rank, cost, and Anvil path inside that lane, then verify the live shop before spending tokens. Fourteen rows have local icons; the remaining named weapons stay text-first rather than using unverified art.
What this page is for
A bounded weapon reference that turns named stats and Anvil relationships into a safer first test without copying a universal tier list.
Use the page in three moves
Query first, test second, recover cleanly
Weapon lane and upgrade database is a server-rendered reference with a light selector layered on top. Start from the named blocker, narrow once, and leave the full answer visible when a filter would hide useful context.
- 01Name the job
Start with the player problem, then use the search a weapon, category, range, rank, or anvil path control instead of scanning every row.
- 02Read one matching record
Use the weapon lane and upgrade database result to compare the job, fields, confidence, and safe next action before changing another variable.
- 03Verify the live result
Run the smallest test that can disprove the current plan, keep the baseline you can reproduce, and record the exact condition that changes your next move.
Read the lane, not the biggest number
A weapon earns a slot when it stays usable on the route
Damage is one field. Weather, noise, reach, rank, cost, and the return plan decide whether the weapon is actually available when the contract turns difficult.
Start by naming the contract blocker: a dry burst, reliable wet-weather range, a quiet shot, a close-range answer, or a low-rank bridge. Then compare weapons inside that lane. A Matchlock can show a strong early number and still be the wrong answer when rain is the first expected failure; a Longbow or Crossbow may preserve the job with less noise or a different reach.
The table keeps rank and Anvil paths beside the combat fields so an upgrade is a route decision rather than a hidden best-in-slot claim. If a listed path costs tokens, reserve the contract objective and recovery space before spending them. A lower rank weapon that completes the same short test is often the safer first purchase.
Rows without a combat value are still useful recognition cues for field pickups, but they are not a damage promise. Keep a confirmed primary weapon in the loadout and use the live client to establish the role before building a deep expedition around an unmeasured knife or training entry.
- Dry burstMatchlock rows are a weather-sensitive lane; carry a second answer when rain can arrive.
- Rain-safe rangeFlintlock, Bow, and Crossbow rows preserve different combinations of reach, noise, and rank.
- Unmeasured pickupKnife and training rows identify a name without inventing damage or a combat role.
Use the Anvil as a decision graph
Upgrade paths are valuable when they remove a known blocker
The Anvil field connects a starting weapon to a next step; it does not prove that every branch is worth its token cost on every contract.
Use an arrow or trade path only after the current weapon has completed a repeatable job. For example, an aged weapon can be a cheap bridge into a named family, while a rank-gated upgrade may be a later investment for a wet-weather or high-range route. Keep the same target, weather, and retreat trigger when testing the next node so the result can be attributed to the upgrade.
The useful comparison is often “what changes if I spend?” rather than “which row has the highest damage?” A path that adds range or weather coverage may protect the return more than a small damage increase. Conversely, a costly branch with no change to the current failure can wait until the contract has a real reason to use it.
This database exposes the recorded path and cost while leaving final handling, draw time, and patch-sensitive behavior as live checks. That boundary keeps the page useful for planning without turning a specialist table into a copied build order.
- Baseline firstRun the starting weapon on a short comparable route before buying the next node.
- One spendChange one weapon or Anvil branch and keep the contract and retreat trigger recognizable.
- Stop on no gainIf the branch does not remove the named blocker, preserve tokens and return to the current baseline.
Turn the table into a field check
Three filters are enough to choose a safer first test
Use category, rank, and upgrade status to shrink the table, then verify the resulting weapon in the live shop or Anvil before committing a deep route.
Choose the weather lane before the damage lane. If the plan must function in rain, start with the rain-safe filter and compare reach or cost inside that set. If the crew needs a quiet approach, use Bow or Crossbow records and preserve a retreat landmark instead of chasing the loudest opener.
Rank and cost describe access, not effectiveness. A rank-one weapon can make a good learning baseline because it leaves resources for recovery and objective space; a rank-three weapon is a commitment to test only when the contract repeatedly demands its coverage. The page keeps those trade-offs visible in the same row.
After choosing, write down one result: did the weapon keep the firing lane, preserve the return, and solve the blocker? If not, change the smallest dependency—weather lane, reach, noise, or upgrade—rather than replacing the whole expedition plan.
- Filter by conditionUse weather and category to remove weapons that cannot serve the current route.
- Check accessUse rank and shop cost to choose a test that does not consume the recovery margin.
- Record one resultKeep the successful baseline and change only the field that failed first.

Standalone images revalidated; other rows stay text-first
Damage, reach, durability, cost, rank, Anvil, lane
Weather and return margin beat a raw-number chase
Weapon selection route
Condition → lane → access → one retest
Use the weapon records to choose a testable route, not to copy a universal ranking.
- 1Name the contract failure
Decide whether the run needs dry burst, rain-safe range, a quiet shot, close-range durability, or a field pickup check.
- 2Filter the usable lane
Use category and weather first, then compare reach, damage, noise, or durability inside the surviving set.
- 3Check rank and token cost
Choose the lowest commitment that can answer the blocker while leaving space for the objective and recovery.
- 4Retest one weapon or branch
Hold target, weather, crew call, and retreat trigger steady; change one weapon or Anvil node and record the first result.

When the answer does not fit
Recover when the weapon plan breaks
A missed shot or disabled lane usually identifies one dependency to replace—not a reason to rebuild every slot.
- 1Classify the first break
Write weather, range, noise, rank access, ammunition, handling, or return-space loss before changing gear.
- 2Keep one control weapon
Leave the known baseline in the loadout so the next run can show whether the replacement solved the failure.
- 3Protect the objective slot
Move optional gear to the Ox-wagon before spending the space needed for treasure, survivors, or contract items.
- 4Recheck the live panel
Confirm current cost, rank, Anvil token price, and handling after a patch or when the row remains unmeasured.
Decision table
Choose the weapon by the risk in front of you
Choose the row that matches the failure in front of you; the action is a bounded next experiment, not a hidden-stat guarantee.
| Situation | Action | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Rain can arrive before the firing lane is complete | Filter to rain-safe references | A lower peak number that remains usable protects the route better than a disabled Matchlock. |
| The forest response punishes noise | Test Bow or Crossbow | Quiet ranged pressure can preserve a shared landmark while the crew checks the contract. |
| The crew has rank-one access and little spare currency | Use a rank-one baseline | The first test should preserve recovery and objective space instead of forcing a rank gate. |
| An Anvil branch does not change the current blocker | Keep the baseline | A token spend is useful only when the new node changes the route decision you are testing. |

Player questions
Weapons FAQ
Use the current game panel before spending rare resources on a value that can change.
How many The Mound weapons are listed?
The current bounded table contains 51 named rows across six families: Melee, Matchlock, Flintlock, Crossbow, Bow, and Knife.
Does every weapon have an image?
No. Fourteen rows have revalidated local icons. Other rows retain their names and fields without unrelated or unverified images.
Which weapons are safer in rain?
Use the rain-safe filter to compare Flintlock, Bow, and Crossbow references. Matchlock rows are kept in a separate dry-only lane.
What does the Anvil field mean?
It records the listed upgrade or trade relationship. Verify the current token cost and resulting handling in the live Anvil before committing.
Is this a weapon tier list?
No. It is a route and upgrade reference. The right row depends on weather, noise, reach, rank, cost, and the contract return margin.
